U.S. version of a British mystery series with cops that focus on high-concept crime stories.

After getting shot in the head, David Creegan was dead for 10 minutes. The trauma forced him to take a long recovery away from his job as a police detective, and led to the end his marriage. Creegan eventually returned to functionality... but he didn't return to normal. Rejoining the OSC (Organized & Serial Crimes) unit which he helped start, it soon becomes evident that the neurological damage left him with a sequencing problem — and without a faculty for shame.

As a result, Creegan is uncompromisingly direct and emotionally open. These traits combined with his sharp set of detective skills make Creegan remarkably skilled at entering the minds of those who commit horrifying acts of murder.
