Duncan's kinsman and first mentor;
they met in 1625. Connor, as well as Duncan,
was born in Glenfinnan, in the Highlands
of Scotland, in 1518. He died for the first
time when he was 18 years old, in 1536, in
battle, and was banished from his clan soon
after having returned from the dead.
Afterwards, he got married to Heather, who
died of old age in 1590. His first mentor was
Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez (Sean
Connery), who he met in 1541; Ramirez
taught him all about Immortality, the rules of
the Game
and the Gathering. After Ramirez, he had as
mentors the Englishman Thomas Cavanaugh and
the Japanese sorcerer Nakano (1590). He had
many aliases to disguise his Immortal
condition: Adrian Montague, Jacques Lefeburt,
Alfred Nicholson, Capitão David Carruthers,
Rupert Wellingford and Russell Nash. His worst
enemies were the Kurgan, Kane and Jacob Kell.
In 1992, he returned to Duncan's life, forcing

For Evil's Sake, For Tomorrow We Die
and Saving Grace.
Renee Delaney (Stacey Travis)
CID Agent who, being after Xavier
Saint Cloud, ended up becoming involved with
Duncan MacLeod. Episodes: Unholy

Rebecca (Nadia Cameron)
Amanda's first teacher. She owned
an ancient crystal called The
Methuselah's Stone, a mystic talisman
said to give eternal life and
invulnerability to the wearer, whose pieces
she divided among her students. Rebecca was
beheaded by her former student Luther, in
Paris, in 1994 — he was trying to gather the
pieces for evil purposes. Episodes: Legacy
and The Methuselah's Gift.
Maurice (Michel Modo)
Humorous MacLeod's French neighbor
in Paris — his small boat was moored next to
MacLeod's. Fond of drinking, he always had
trouble keeping his jobs as chef de
cuisine. He had a niece (Simone) who
was killed by Immortal Kagan. Unbeknownst to
him, she was a prostitute and Kagan's
accomplice in the robbery of a valuable
DaVinci sketch. Later on the show, he owned
a small restaurant and a jazz club.

Deliverance and Promises.
He came back from the dead, to
claim his father's sword. He killed the
Viking, and stopped the slaughter.
Alexa Bond (Ocean Hellman)
Waitress at
Joe's, the mortal woman Methos loved. After
traveling with "Adam Pierson" around the
world (including a visit to Santorini,
Greece, where he told her he was Immortal),
she died from a serious illness in Geneva,
Switzerland. And Methos didn't watch that
without doing anything: he tried desperately
to save her life by getting the Methuselah's
Stone, the mystic talisman said to
give eternal life and invulnerability to the
wearer — but he didn't succeed. Methos
buried her in Paris (her grave read "Alexa
Bond/Beloved"). At first, he thought of
burying her in Santorini, because she liked
it very much, but he didn't want her to be
so far away. Episode: Timeless; she
is cited on Deliverance, Methuselah's
Gift and Through a Glass Darkly. Book:
An Evening at Joe's/Postcards From Alexa.

1995, when he was under the influence of the
Dark
Quickening. Episodes: Deliverance,

Trespasses.
Cassandra (Tracy Scoggins)
Duncan
MacLeod's friend. Known as the Witch of
Donan Woods, she got to know Mac when he was
just a 12-year-old kid (1604), in the
Highlands of Scotland. Four hundred years
later, Cassandra met MacLeod again in order
to fulfill an ancient prophecy — that only
Duncan MacLeod could challenge and defeat
the voice of darkness. She died for the
first time in the Bronze Age, killed by
Kronos; afterwards, Methos took her as his
slave. In 1997, she met Methos again and all
she wanted was kill him, which she didn't
due to Duncan's intervention in favor of
Methos's life. Episodes: Prophecy, Comes
a Horseman and Revelation 6:8.

of the Hunters, a band of mortals
whose goal was hunting Immortals. He was

afterwards) and seriously wounded by
Duncan's sword the previously years.

Counterfeit I e II, One Minute to
Midnight, Archangel, Avatar, Armageddon and
Not to Be.
You'll sleep when you're dead.
Xavier Saint Cloud (Roland Gift)
Xavier Saint Cloud (born circa
1160 in Morocco), aka Gerard Fleurie or
Nelson Mfune, lived in hedonistic splendor
down through the ages by remorseless robbing
and killing innocent men and women. Duncan
MacLeod first met him in Algiers, in 1653,
when Xavier took the head of his teacher and
friend Hamza ibn Mohammed al Katib (John
Suda) — sometimes honored by the name
el Kahir. Their second meeting happened
during World War One, when Xavier used
poison gas to loot a payroll truck. They met
again in the 90's for three times; on
February 22, 1996 Duncan finally managed to
kill him. In one of their confrontations,
MacLeod cut his left hand off; from then on,
Xavier used a protheses with a hook
replacing it. Darius also got to know Xavier
St. Cloud, when he was just a thief,
centuries ago. Episodes: For Tomorrow We
Die, Unholy Alliance I e II, Finale
part I and Double Jeopardy. Book: Scimitar.
Hamza el Kahir is on Finale part I
as well as in the book Scimitar.

you must.
Kronos/Melvin Koren (Valentine
Pelka)
Kronos was part of the Four
Horsemen — along with Methos, Silas
(Richard Ridings) and Caspian
(Marcus Testory) — the most terrible
Immortals that ever existed. They spread
terror in the Bronze Age, killing, raping
and destroying everything in their way, just
for pleasure. He was beheaded by Duncan
MacLeod (who had known him as Melvin Koren
in Old West) in 1997, after having tried to
join forces with Methos again. On the same
occasion, Methos beheaded Silas and Duncan
killed Caspian. Episodes: Comes a
Horseman, Revelation 6:8, Archangel,
Armageddon and Not to Be.
The freedom! The power!
Kalas/Antonio Neri (David
Robb)
Kalas, an Immortal monk with a
heavenly singing voice, used to live in a
monastery founded by Paul, also an Immortal.
In 1658, MacLeod sought refuge for a time in
the same place and, when he discovered that
Kalas was routinely taking the heads of
Immortals as they left the sanctuary, Paul
expelled Kalas from the monastery,
separating him from the music that was his
life. That was the beginning of a
troublesome relationship between the two men
through the centuries. In 1996, after
killing Duncan's best friend Fitz, Kalas
went after the Quickening of the oldest
Immortal alive — Methos, who, realizing that
he wouldn't be able to defeat Kalas, offered
his own head to MacLeod. MacLeod refused and
challenged Kalas on his own, nearly
defeating him when the police, sent by
Methos, arrived to send Kalas to prison for
the deaths of Watcher Donald Salzer (Adam
Pierson's mentor). After being accidentally
set free from prison by Amanda (all she
wanted was kill Kalas to do MacLeod a
favor), the evil Immortal went after Duncan
and his friends again — but in the end,
MacLeod fought Kalas and beheaded him on top
of the Eiffel Tower. Episodes: Song of
the Executioner, Star-Crossed, Methos and
Finale I e II.
It's not about enjoyment. It's
about power.
Kanwulf The Destroyer (Carsten
Norgaard)
The legendary Viking marauder
(Immortal) who killed Duncan MacLeod's
father in 1624. The Highlander went after
Kanwulf and killed him — or at least, he
thought he had killed him; at the time,
although already Immortal, Duncan didn't
know he had to behead Kanwulf. Eventually,
he killed the viking when they met each
other again, in 1995. Episode Homeland.
An offering to the gods of
thunder and war!
Kenny (Myles Ferguson)
Kenneth died in England, when he
was 10 years old in 1182; he and his foster
parents were murdered by the Normans. Right
after the massacre, Amanda found Kenny and
took him as her pupil for a year. Since
then, he has survived by using his childish
look to con other Immortals, who,
inadvertently, try to protect him (like
Duncan MacLeod) and then cut their heads
off. For Amanda, it was too difficult to
accept his evil nature — Kenny was the son
she never had. Episodes: The Lamb
and Reunion. Myles Ferguson passed away on
September 29, 2000, in a car accident. He
was 19 years old.
The bigger they are, the

Battle of Culloden in 1746, when fighting
for Scotland's freedom. After several months
on the run, he sought refuge in France.
Eventually, he settled in Rome as the "Duke

Flora MacDonald (Kim
Johnston Ulrich)

MacDonald met Bonnie Prince Charlie on
the Scottish island of Benbecula, while he
was on the run, and agreed to help Charles

disguised the prince as her maid Betty
Burke, and smuggled him to the island of
Skye. Being arrested and imprisoned in the
Tower of London for her role in the Young
Pretender's escape, she became a celebrity.
Flora got married to Allan MacDonald in
1750; over 20 years later, the couple moved
to the USA, where he fought in the American
Revolution, serving the British army. Flora
died in 1790 and was buried on the island of
Skye.
On Highlander,
the Prince's escape was reproduced; however,
"Flora MacDonald" was an Immortal, and had
the help of Duncan MacLeod. Besides,
in 60 AD, "Flora" had been celtic warrior Ceirdwyn.

in Geneva when the host proposed a task: to
write a ghost story. It was when Mary began,
and eventually finished, her Frankenstein.
On Highlander,
mortal Mary was a friend of Byron and
Methos'. After witnessing (in that famous
night they were all gathered to tell ghost
stories) Byron die, return to life and get
the Quickening of his opponent, she had the
idea of writing her novel Frankenstein.

Dr. John Polidore
Byron's physician, he was in the
poet's house the famous night Mary Shelley,
Percy Shelley and Byron were gathered and
Byron proposed they should write ghost
stories. Percy didn't write anything, Mary
began to write Frankenstein, Byron
began a tale called Augustus Darvell
(which was printed later as an appendix to
the poet's Mazeppa) and Polidore
wrote the first vampire story of the English
literature (Bram Stoker's Dracula
was published in 1897): The Vampyre,
published in the New Monthly Magazine in
April 1819.
On Highlander, Polidore
was replaced by Methos, at the time known
as "the good Dr. Adams".
